DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Full-time Director of Nursing position available. Individual selected will provide leadership and direction of inpatient and outpatient nursing services, surgical services and central sterile supply. In collaboration with the Administrative Team, the Director of Nursing plans for the Hospital’s strategic direction and continuous delivery of safe, quality patient care services, the maintenance of sound fiscal management practices, the building of a cohesive team of coworkers, and the development of strong community relationships. Requirements include: Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Maine. BSN required; MSN preferred with advanced certification in nursing administration preferred. Additional studies in Health Care Administration helpful. Five years experience in acute care and/or management with strong organizational and financial management skills. Visionary leadership abilities with a passion for patient safety and nursing excellence required.
Part-time Ultrasonographer position available in the Imaging Department. Individual will perform ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology procedures and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and 6 to 12 months of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must be board registered. Two 10-hour days per week; 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Call required.
Full-time Respiratory Therapist position available. 72 hours biweekly; day shift; a combination of 8 hour and 12 hour shifts. Requirements include: State of Maine Respiratory Therapist’s License; one year of acute care experience preferred; availability to work any shift as needed; be available to take call on a regular basis, willing and motivated to learn and perform all modes of therapy that are provided by Cardiopulmonary; BCLS and current ACLS (or willing to obtain on the job) and smoking cessation class within the first year of employment.
Per Diem Clinical Dietitian position available. Individual selected will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating inpatient and outpatient nutrition care services. Provides medical nutrition therapy through assessment, education, intervention and evaluation. Current ADA registration and license in the State of Maine; possesses flexibility in schedule to work as needed
Per Diem House Supervisor position available. The Per Diem Relief House Supervisor ensures the smooth patient care delivery throughout the hospital by providing direction, support, and consultation to staff in routine and emergency situations. Assures staffing levels are maintained in all clinical nursing areas, replacing sick calls and adjusting staffing as necessary to meet identified needs. Activate appropriate call personnel in response to needs during non-routine hours. This position demonstrates exceptional communication skills, clinical skills and judgment in working collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, Ancillary Services, patients, family and the public to provide safe, quality patient care. This position is available for all shifts including weekends. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. ACLS certification required. Full-time Registered Nurse position available on the Med/Surg Unit. Evening shift; 2:15 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.; 64 hours biweekly. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; BCLS certification. Every other weekend; every other holiday.
Part-time (48 hours biweekly) Registered Nurse position available on the night shift (10:45 p.m.-7:15 a.m) on the Med/Surg Unit. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; BCLS certification. Every other weekend; every other holiday; new grads welcome.

Full-time Medical Receptionist position available in Cardiology. Medical office setting experience, medical terminology knowledge, excellent communication skills, and organizational skills required. Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.
EPIC Credentialed Trainers
Two Full-time EPIC Credentialed Trainer positions available. Credentialed trainers (CTs) use the curriculum, lessons, and training materials created by the Principal Trainers to conduct training for physicians, nurses and support staff in the hospital. CTs are hired to support training during the months before go-live and to provide go live support within the departments after go live. These trainers must pass a credentialing program in order to train Epic’s software. The credentialing program is conducted by certified PTs. Together, PTs and CTs train all Super Users and End Users on their respective application(s). This position may be appointed to serve on committees, task forces, and workgroups as deemed appropriate. This position will be required to travel to Portland or other Maine Health entities as needed. Degree from a 4 year program strongly preferred and experience in adult education is desired but not required.
SOCIAL WORKER/DISCHARGE PLANNER
Full-time licensed Social Worker or Discharge Planning RN position available for an individual with knowledge of community resources and willingness to further education. Individual selected assists patients and families in resolution of social problems affecting medical condition and assists in discharge planning. Coordinates discharge planning in conjunction with utilization review. Schedule will vary, every other weekend required. State of Maine licensure required as a Social Worker or Maine Registered Nurse License required.
Per diem Waitstaff position available at Penobscot Shores. 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 12-18 hours per week. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills required.
Full-time Surgical Services Coordinator/Unit Secretary position available. Individual
selected will be responsible to perform secretarial/receptionist duties and perform the scheduling of the operating
and procedure rooms. Two years experience in the medical office field with excellent organizational and Microsoft
application knowledge. Comprehensive knowledge in surgical procedures required.
