MEDICAL RECORDS CODER
Full-time Certified Medical Records Coder position available 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. Individual selected will provide accurate coding of all outpatient oncology, cardiac rehab and infusion therapy visits, as well as outpatient endoscopy procedures. Individual selected must possess an active coding credential; RHIT, CCS or CPC and a minimum of one year experience coding in a hospital setting.
Full-time Coder/Abstractor Clinic position available. Individual will provide skilled and accurate coding of all outpatient oncology, cardiac rehab and infusion therapy visits, as well as outpatient endoscopy procedures for statistic and billing purposes. Requirements include a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), certified coding specialist (CCS) or certified professional coder (CPC) with a minimum of one to two years experience in ICD 9 CM and CPT coding.
MSU NURSING DEPARTMENT MANAGER
Full-time Medical Surgical Unit Nursing Department Manager position available. Individual will ensure the quality of the direction, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided on MSU. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MSU. BSN preferred. 5 years of clinical experience in inpatient acute care nursing; – 3 years of experience in nursing management, preferred; Excellent communication and collaborative skills with staff/providers and conflict resolution skills required. Full time Activities Coordinator/CNA for the Swing Bed Program. Responsible for the performance and quality of the activities programming for our Swing Bed program including planning, coordinating, and implementing, a full scope activity program for patients at a skilled nursing level of care. Occasional floating as CNA to patient care units. The individual selected must be organized, self-motivated, creative, and willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting. CNA Certificate required, previous activities coordination strongly preferred.
Temporary Full-time Abstractor position available. The chart abstractor position is part of a team responsible for the transfer of patient health care data from paper or electronic systems to a new electronic health record (EHR). High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Relevant course work in a related healthcare field, preferred. Experience with medical terminology required. Excellent computer skills; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multi-task, and be efficient at problem solving required.

Waldo County General Hospital is seeking a full-time Outpatient Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Associate. This position works under the supervision of the Physician Practice Manager and will serves as a resource for all outpatient provider office QAPI activities and directs staff in the performance and completion of required QAPI activities. This position collaborates with practice supervisors, office staff, physicians, mid-level providers and coworkers to improve performance and provide continuous safe, quality services in the practice setting. Additional tasks may include data abstraction/reporting to meet required internal and external QAPI requirements. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine required. Outpatient practice experience and quality improvement background strongly preferred. Must be self -motivated and highly productive. Able to lead a team effectively. Excellent computer skills required.
