Breastfeeding your baby is a wonderful way to provide the best nutrition for your child’s development and promote a harmonious bond between mother and child.
Our caring staff of the Women and Infants Health Care Unit strive to provide a gentle approach to educating and supporting breastfeeding mothers and babies. Our goal is to help create a memorable and positive breastfeeding experience.
We are pleased to offer lactation consultation services. Our unit is staffed with two Board Certified Lactation Consultants.
Joan and Lori have over 30 years combined experience in helping mothers and babies learn the art of breastfeeding. They are available for consultations during your hospital stay and will attempt to meet with you and your baby before your discharge to home. Joan and Lori are also available for outpatient consultations, counseling or to meet with you at any point during your breastfeeding experience. They are committed to your success!
We offer breastfeeding classes once a month and provide a breastfeeding support group that meets monthly. To meet your scheduling needs, one of our lactation consultants can meet with you individually by request. For more information call: 338-9348
