The staff at the Donald S. Walker Health Center (DSWHC) in Liberty is ready to help you get the care you need, when you need it.
The center is Medicare and Medicaid (MaineCare) certified and participates in most health insurance plans. It is also a participating site of the Maine Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program and has priority sick visits; on-site lab work; and pre-registration for hospital visits. Fully licensed by the State of Maine, DSWHC is a department of Waldo County General Hospital, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.
DSWHC is conveniently located at 43 West Main Street in Liberty.
The Center was constructed in the 1980′s with funds from benefactor, Donald Stone Walker, a native of Liberty, Maine, who became a successful NYC stock broker. In 1998, the Center was renovated and expanded to offer more examination rooms.
Office Hours ~Monday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
