Home Health & Hospice



Waldo County Home Healthcare Services is a non-profit organization affiliated with Waldo County Healthcare, Inc. serving adult patients of all circumstances in Waldo County and beyond. We provide in the home medical, physical, social and emotional care to home-bound people of all ages and to those choosing to die at home.


Home Health Services -

Home care services can include:

• Nurses
• Home Health Aides
• Social Workers
• Physical Therapists
• Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy


Services are generally short term and focus on:

• Relief of symptoms
• Promotion of independence
• Improvement of functional status
• Access to community resources
• Patient & family education
• Advocacy



Hospice Services




We support the patient & their family in making the best decision for care whether:


• In their own home
• Home of family or friend
• Hospice Unit at Waldo County Hospital
• Long-term care facility


We encourage early referral so we can:

• Aggressively treat pain and other symptoms
• Help clients, families, and children feel comfortable with the process of dying
• Provide around the clock on-call services
• Provide Home Health Aides
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families
• Connect the patient and family with Hospice Volunteers
• Provide medications and medical equipment, often including emergency comfort packs
